As part of Seachdain na Gàidhlig, Gaelic in Moray will be hosting a free, online event on 23 Feb 2026. This event will consist of a talk (in English) by Iain Taylor with time for questions about Gaelic personal names, both first names and surnames, considering the sources of first names in Gaelic, how surnames were formed both with and without Mac- and Nic-, and points of particular interest to residents of Moray and the wider north-east area.
