Join us Thursday, 6 November at 7pm for Càirdean nan Dròbhairean: Crodh is Coin ann an Seanfhaclan is Beul-aithris nan Gàidheal. The Drovers’ Friends: Cattle and Dogs in Gaelic proverb and oral tradition.

This talk, delivered by broadcaster and author Roddy Maclean (Ruairidh MacIlleathain) is particularly designed for Gaelic learners and fluent speakers who wish to explore the richness of proverbs, idioms, sayings and one or two tales connected to cattle and dogs. However, it will also be of interest to those who are new to the language and who are interested in finding out more about the heritage of Gaelic Scotland. The lecture will be delivered in English.
